3D Scanning · Digital Reconstruction · Rendering · Video Editing
Exploring the intersection of cultural heritage and digital technology, this project presents a turntable animation of a Cypriot Cruciform Idol, transformed from a physical artefact into a detailed digital model using the open-source software 3DUNDERWORLD-SLS-v2.1.
My contribution focused on the alignment and merging of scanned data, followed by rendering the reconstructed model to produce a clear, continuous visualization of the artefact. The process highlights the role of 3D scanning and digital reconstruction in documenting archaeological objects and making cultural heritage accessible through new forms of digital representation.
